The task
The technical challenge was very large, heavy curtains across three areas, each approximately 4.5 metres high and 9 metres wide. The solution had to be coordinated around existing ventilation and technical installations so that hanging and operation work without conflicting with the other building disciplines.
The solution
The building has a strong raw architectural character and a prominent central staircase. The fabrics were selected to match the quality and colour palette of the building rather than compete with it.
The curtains define the atmosphere, provide privacy for meeting areas and soften the raw industrial interior, and they were selected so they can contribute to the acoustics of the space.
